    What is The Journey?

The Journey is a life-changing experience unlike any other. It is a deep and enjoyable process involving groups of 6 to 12 like-minded people who have chosen to deepen their walk with God. Each group is guided by a trained facilitator. By studying Christ and through reading, study, and conversation, you will gain a better understanding to the answers of three very important questions:

Who is God? Who am I?

What does God desire to do through me?

Who will be invited to participate in The Journey?

The process is intended for anyone who wishes to deepen their relationship with God, regardless of age, knowledge of scripture, or length of time being a Christ follower.

    What study materials are involved?

There are four stage manuals, texts, and of course, the Bible.

When will The Journey begin and end?

The Journey begins in September and ends in May. We are currently taking enrolments for the 2012/13 year. Please click here to print off and fill out the Enrolment Form. Once you have filled it out, please send it to Trinity, Attn: Darcy. You can also email the information requested on the Enrolment Form to Darcy at dsmith@trinitybaptist.net.

How often, when, and where will we meet?

The group will meet weekly with breaks at Christmas, Easter, and other times according to group needs. Once we have confirmed group lists and trained facilitators, options will be presented to you that will hopefully fit your schedule. Groups have been known to meet Sunday mornings, Sunday evenings, and early AM or evenings during the week. Groups meet at Trinity Baptist Church or in participants’ homes — the group will decide.

    Is there a cost?

Yes, the materials cost $350. Trinity offsets $55 leaving a net cost to you of $295. There are several options for payment. Scholarships are available for those experiencing financial hardship. (Click here to print a scholarship application.)

"My wife had been suggesting for the last few years that we should take this course called The Journey. This year when she mentioned it, I fought my hesitations at the time commitment and the cost and said "Yes". An experience ensued that was transformational, encouraging, and spiritually grounding. I encourage anyone who is also sitting on the fence, as I was, to take a step of faith and commit to this year of transformative study. The study material has a real, down-to-earth, life-enriching quality to it. No doubt, God is moving and working through this course! God has used The Journey to bring my everyday life inline with my spiritual life in a way that has been truly directional. ~Jeff, Kelowna"

"Over the years that I have been a Christ follower, I have had the opportunity to participate in many worship services, Bible studies, small group meetings and similar opportunities. While I met many great people and learned a great deal through these experiences, I never seemed to get into deep, candid and honest conversations about spiritual matters including my own spiritual walk. Through my involvement in The Journey, I have had the opportunity to be with a great group of people for three years. We have learned important Biblical truths together that I had not been exposed to before, shared our inner most spiritual journeys, grown together, prayed together, served together and hung out together usually over a good meal. We have become vulnerable, supportive and honest with one another because we have grown to love and care for each other as brothers and sisters in Christ. We have also developed much more clarity as to what God wishes to do through our individual lives in the building of His Kingdom and have marvelled at how God is using us as individuals and as a group. My experience though the Journey has been life changing and I thank the group for this. Above all, I thank the Holy Spirit who uses community to do marvellous things for individuals like me.
